IF YOU ARE NOT SURE OF GETTING A JOB AFTER GRADUATING, WHY GOING TO SCHOOL?
A lot of people go schooling to feel the trend being a student, funny right? But that is the truth. Well, school is one the best place to find yourself, you learn, you realize and lot more. Lot of fun to catch in school, but why do we go to school?
Have you ever asked yourself why you have been going to school or why you went to school?
If we spent several years in school, and still you are not certain to get job. You are not sure of getting a job after graduating, then why do we go to school? What a big question enough to contemplate on.
I am not disputing the fact that some people graduate from college and get job almost immediately, that great! Maybe this is a blessing, or maybe they have higher hands that can help them get a good job for a better life, but it does not work like that for every graduate because not everybody dives their way just like that.
I know majority of graduates who graduated with good great eventually drop their certificate to work like a dropout. What a mess!
If you don’t know now, it is better you know, a lot of people goes to school, but why do you think we have to go to school. Maybe to satisfy our parent and love ones, or rather we go to school to get Job. It is possible!
Well so sad to announce that school does not guarantee offering you job opportunity; the 90% aim of school is not to get you employment but to build you mentally towards creating a job opportunity. If you don’t know that is the main reason you go to school, then I believe you are getting some important information on the reason we all go to school.
I could remember vividly 4 years ago during my corps service, the soldier who addressed us told us not to depend on our degree for employment, he said don’t be at the aim of seeking job opportunity, but rather create one. Yes! You need that orientation, which is the reason we are giving you with this
Having a degree doesn’t guarantee having your desired job or career success.
This is common knowledge; by now, I believe you already know this.
if you don’t mind, we have the tools to start and grow your business. You can explore more about us
So why go to school?
How many graduates do you know? (your siblings, friends or yourself inclusive) who flaunted their NYSC certificates on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other relevant Social Media platform have a good and desired job or are successful in their choice careers today?
Forget it, many of them are still struggling – we are only pretending; trying to be smiley each time we show up to BOOK our FACE(s)! on Facebook
Just so we will not be looked down upon, we claim to have achieved so much when in fact there is absolutely nothing in the plate to eat!
How do you explain to people that you still depend on others for livelihood after so many years of graduating from school?
No money for further studies.
Nothing! Nothing!! You are just stagnant.
Nothing is happening. How do you tell people about that?
From whence do you start the explanation? Let us be frank, this is not easy.
It is not! Let not lie to ourselves.
Most of us are scared to tell others about our predicament(s) because they will definitely use it against us!
Especially to tell them about the idea(s) for business or project(s) we intend to establish in the future!
80% of us are definitely scared!
It has been said that those with great, groundbreaking ideas usually are broke. And those with excess money often are clueless (business/investment wise).
So the less financial buoyant dude usually proposes a partnership to the rich guy by sharing his idea in exchange for financing capital.
The rich guy then smiles, shakes the hand of his supposed new partner as though a deal had been reached.
Then boom! He implements the idea all alone and silences the originator! If you know ‘what that mean’
You want to sue?
I laugh! Sorry….but your idea is gone!
This is brutal… yes!
The truth ALWAYS is!
That is why I always warn young entrepreneur(s) especially, never to share their business idea(s) on public platforms (whether for grants or showoff!) without first obtaining either a patent, copyright or being an already existing business.
This is a story for another day! We will talk more about it more in a separate post.
When the odds are these much, one could just conclude that going to school is a waste of time and having a degree for useful work is just another add-on to one’s current state of misery!
The question I want to try and answer today is:
IF YOU’RE NOT SURE OF GETTING A JOB AFTER GRADUATING, WHY BOTHER ABOUT GOING TO SCHOOL?
My answer: You have every reason to.
You are not certain about getting a job, but you have every reason to go to school.
Follow us while we guide you…
Why should you go to school then?
What does having a degree do for you?
Let me answer that, having a degree does only one thing for you, it not getting a job! Having a degree shows that you have been fully educated, what do I mean by that? Your degree only tells the world or those who sees it that you are not an illiterate; you are educated and capable of facing what life have to offer you. Your degree certified that you can lay your career bricks yourself.
So why do we go to school? The answer is simple, we go to school to get educated and not to get job. Don’t forget how being educated can work out for you, it reveal secret a normal or uneducated persons do not have. Truly, education is the best legacy to give a child! It what keeps the child going whenever he is down.
So get it well that school doesn’t guarantee success. YES! But it PREPARES you for it:
By exposing you to some of the requisite EDUCATION which are the certification, atmosphere, PEOPLE, STRESS, disappointments, thoughts, struggles, fears, faith, and lots more necessary for you to achieve success not just in your chosen career/job but in LIFE generally.
You may not have had an education from the conventional school, and you may be well-to-do.
Well, Congratulations! That’s absolutely fine. It happens. But hey, you’re just one in a million
And trust me, an EDUCATION from the conventional school would to a great extent help to run that your shoe-making skill and polish your grammar in communication, and other soft skills required of a professional to the world you are meant to serve, so you don’t keep basking in your throne as the local King of the village you are currently ruling!
Some people may disagree. But my stand would always be that you do all it takes to get educated via school! You may eventually not NEED the certificate but GET it! Because it shows that you are certified to work, what if you are opportune to get a job? Then it is a better opportunity
